How to Clean Oil Stains off of your Driveway

Gasoline can occasionally leak from your car and stain your driveway. The stains can be hard to scrub off of your driveway. The most common types of oil stains are gasoline and motor oil. Here are some ways to remove the stain:

  • Cat litter: Cover the stain completely with cat litter and let it sit for 30 minutes. Remove the litter and use a toothbrush and laundry detergent and scrub the stain.
  • Baking soda: Put some baking soda on the stain and let it soak for 30 minutes. Scrub the stain with a brush and rinse it,
  • WD-40: Spray WD-40 over the whole stain. Scrub the stain with a brush and rinse the area with water.

While these are good home remedies, they aren’t always guaranteed. Call the professionals to have any stains removed at 716-836-8880.
